I am happy to scribble few words of thoughts which may enable us to draw more closer to the Lord and thereby grow into the Christian maturity.

“ By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures”. Prov.24:3,4

Wisdom, understanding, knowledge. 

King Solomon highlights these three words to show a stable long lasting, beautiful house. It is all about our family life rather than a house with mud and cement. It can also refer literally to a building or a dynasty.

A house is built by wisdom. Wisdom is commonly known as God given ability to practice what we know. It is practical knowledge. A house is established through understanding. We want our house to be established for a long time. This takes place when we understand things.

A house is filled with all rare and beautiful treasures by knowledge. We spend a lot of money inorder to decorate our houses. Our beauty is seen the way we conduct our lives in public. The aspect of beautifying one's life is by the way we apply the knowledge of God.

Do we pray for wisdom, understanding and knowledge? Paul prays for the same.

Colo. 1:9

“We have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.”

The Word of God in my heart I've been participating in the National Bible Bee for nine years now, and over the years I've learned between 6000-8000 verses.By God's providence, my parents had taught me and my sister since we were very young to memorize chapters and books of the Bible, which we would recite at home  and at church and at conferences. Because they put in the time and effort to teach us to learn God's word, when the Bible Bee started in 2009, my sister and I were excited to participate.
